Is it safe to type in my credit card number?

Yes, every bit as safe, if not safer, than using it at a department store. Why? For instance, when you hand a cashier your card, someone may be in line behind you, able to read the number. Sometimes the number is on your receipt, of which the store keeps a copy. When your card is scanned, what happens to the info on it? It is read into a computer system, and travels through computer and telephone networks just like the Internet.

How do I know my information is secure?

There are 2 ways to be sure that your information is secure: Before you enter any personal information, notice that the url will change from "http" to "https".  The "s" indicates a secure site. Second, with IE5 you will see a little padlock in the lower right corner of your browser window. With Netscape, the little padlock above will be locked. Look for these indicators when you get to our ordering page.  Also, on any secure page, right-click, select properties, then certificates and you will see that you are definitely connected to Digital Dictation Store.

Do you have a microcassette adaptor that allows microcassettes to be transcribed on a standard cassette machine?

To our knowledge, none of the manufacturers still make microcassette adaptors. SONY used to make one called an MA-50, however, they only worked with SONY BM-25,45,46,75,80s. And in every case the machine had to be modified. List price on them was around $200. Now a micro transcriber can be purchased for less than that.

What does "Factory Refurbished" mean?

FACTORY REFURBISHED does not mean we are simply selling used equipment. They have actually been refurbished by the Manufacturer and carry the same warranty as new.

In some cases, they are overstocks that have never been used, in other cases, they are machines that have been returned for a warranty repair and have been restored to original factory specs.

In any case, THEY CARRY THE SAME WARRANTY AS NEW, 1 year parts, 90 days labor.
