The InSync Buddy DesktopMic™ is a USB-interface high quality directional desktop microphone that is designed for speech recognition applications. Its speech ergonomic features include a flexible gooseneck, a sturdy and weight-stable base.
Its casing design renders it remarkably robust to noise. It is designed for people who do not like to wear a headset microphone, while demanding audio signal quality like a headset.
It’s sleek yet sturdy appearance makes it look attractive on any desktop, and beautifully complements any office setting. Designed to accommodate speaker movements within a normal radius of 9 inches without perceptible affects on speech quality, as measured through speech recognition performance tests under scores of environmental noise scenarios.
Its USB interface is identical to Buddy USB 6G, our 6th generation replacement sound card. It includes a convenient mute switch with indicator lights so you don’t have to guess its operational status.
Buddy DesktopMic™ has been certified by USB Organization to conform to the official USB 2 standards.
Includes a unidirectional microphone element to provide clear audio signal from 1” to 9” range from the front of the element yet providing a speech signal comparable to headset microphones. This yields extremely high recognition accuracy in the high nineties with Dragon NaturallySpeaking.
